Lady Pios cruise past Lady K's

LONGVILLE – The Notre Dame Lady Pios overcame a sluggish start and an early deficit to cruise past South Beauregard, 14-3, Monday in a key District 4-3A tilt.

The Lady Pios improved to 19-5 on the season with the victory and are currently the league leaders heading into the second half of district play at 5-0.

The Lady K’s staked a 2-0 lead in the first inning, but the Lady Pios responded with 12 runs over the next three innings to put the game away. They added a pair of runs in the seventh to close out the contest.

Mollie Stelly picked up the victory in the circle. She surrendered three runs on three hits and one walk while striking out five in seven innings.

Taylor Boulet led the Lady Pios’ 16-hit attack with three hits and three RBI. Allie Daigle followed with a 3-for-5 performance that included a double, a triple and two RBI.

Taylor Satchell added two doubles and two RBI while Alexa Thibodeaux, Brittney Nolan and Zoie Lavergne each had two hits. Megan Murrell and Elise LeBeouf each had one hit and one RBI and Stelly drove in one run.
