Lawlis, Mire to exchange vows
AUSTIN, Texas - Sarah Paige Lawlis and Arlin Michael Mire, both of Austin, Texas, have announced their engagement and commitment to be wed on Saturday, November 9, during a 7:30 p.m. Nuptial Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral in Austin.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Richard Stephen Lawlis of Georgetown, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Eleanor Joyce Rushia of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Drs. Marjorie and Virgil Lawlis of Austin.
Sarah graduated from Georgetown High School in 2004 before attending Saint Edwards Catholic University in Austin, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology in 2008. She is presently employed as a preschool teacher at Primrose School, and she is pursuing a certification to teach early childhood through sixth grade.
The prospective groom is the son of Pebbles and Corwin Mire of Rayne. His maternal grandparents are Lucy and Glen Kibodeaux, and his paternal grandparents are Milton Mire and the late Ora Mire, all of Rayne.
Arlin graduated from Rayne High School in 2002 and from Baker University of Kansas City, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration, in 2010. He is currently attending Saint Edwards Catholic University in pursuit of a master’s degree in business administration and anticipates graduating in December. Arlin is currently employed as a consultant for Black & Veatch in Kansas City, Kan.
The couple plans to reside in Austin following their wedding.
