Library to begin Summer Reading Program on June 4

CROWLEY – The spotlight this summer at the Acadia Parish Library is on being a “reading star.” Come join in the fun and have a star-filled summer, filled with stories on drama, music, dance, sports, art and many other activities. This spectacular Summer Reading Program will begin May 26 and run through August 9. The Acadia Parish Library invites children, Pre-K through the fourth grade living in the area to come and “Be A Star...Read!” by joining the Summer Reading Program. Upon registration, each child will receive a colorful reading log in order to record the books they read and a colorful bookmark. After a child had read 10 books, his or her name will be placed on the “reading wall of fame” displayed in the library. If a child reads more than 20 books, he or she will receive a special colorful “Be A Star...Read” certificate. All children are welcome to join the program any time before August 9.
