Library announces Pokémon and LEGO fun days
There is a new attraction for Pokémon and LEGO fans coming to the Acadia Parish Public Library in Crowley.
Ben, Daniel and Joe Gall will host a “Pokémon Play Day” on Saturday, May 31, and “LEGO Fun Days” on Saturday, June 14, and Saturday, June 28. All three events will begin at 10 a.m. and last until noon.
For the “Pokémon Play Day,” kids should bring their own decks and their trade binders if they are interested in trading.
For “LEGO Fun Days,” the Galls will bring the LEGOs and provide an opportunity for kids to showcase their LEGO abilities.
Kids of all ages interested in LEGO building are invited to play with LEGOs and interact with others as they build to a “theme” announced at the meeting.
The Galls have had LEGOs in their lives for many years and want to share the LEGOs and special skills they have learned. Ben, especially, has become an unofficial “master builder.” They have thousands of LEGO pieces, including special pieces they will share and help you build with.
There is limited seating in the library’s meeting room and “first come” will apply until the room is full. The LEGO creations judged by the Galls as “Master Built” will be on display at the library for a short time. Books based on the “theme” will also be displayed in the library.
The library in Crowley is located at 1125 N. Parkerson Ave. For more information call 788-1880.
