Lafayette nuptials join local couple
Mr. and Mrs. Otis Joseph “Joey” Richard
Lafayette - During a four o’clock afternoon wedding ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at Les Chappelle des Attakapas at Vermilionville in Lafayette, Natalie Andreé Reed and Otis Joseph “Joey” Richard were united as husband and wife. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Rev. Dan Latour.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Reed of Rayne. Her grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Numa Bertel Broussard, Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Hubert H. Reed, all of Rayne. She is a graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish in Crowley.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Otis Richard of Crowley. His grandparents are the late Preston and June Smith and the late Lawrence and Bernice Richard. He is a graduate of Crowley High School and is employed as a director at Global HSE All Phase Welding and Marine, Inc.
Providing musical selections amid the unique surroundings was Brian Gaudino, guitarist.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal ivory knee-length dress topped with an all-over lace design complimented with a V-neckline, three-quarter length sleeves, and pearl assessories. She carried a bridal bouquet of elegant ivory roses and antiquelight mint hydrangeas.
Attending the bride as matron of honor was Maggie Fisher Reed, her sister-in-law.
Attending the groom as best man was a friend, Stan Baggett.
Immediately following the wedding ceremony, guests were served a sit-down dinner during a reception held at Nash’s Restaurant in Broussard held in honor of the newlyweds.
Following a Caribbean cruise, the couple is presently residing in Huntsville, Texas.
