A lively sports-themed couple’s shower was held in honor of Brittany Kay Kidder of Crowley and Tesha Kay Theriot of Rayne, who will affirm their partnership in an early December civil commitment ceremony.
Brittany is the daughter of Sharon K. and Hilrae “Tiger” Mott of Crowley, and Diane B. and Douglas Kidder Jr. of Iota. The LeBlanc residence, including the back deck, where the overflow crowd was able to enjoy the nice evening outdoors, was decorated with all manner of sports memorabilia. Guests signed in on a baseball jersey, and the partyware was printed with baseball, soccer, football and basketball designs. Various congratulatory banners were hung throughout.
The honorees and their guests dressed in various baseball, football and basketball jerseys. Others dressed in the spirit as a referee, a cheerleader and even a professional wrestler and wrestler’s diva.
The approximately 50 guests in attendance were served chicken and sausage gumbo, potato salad and various chips and dips.
Sweets included a cup cake baseball field bearing the honoree’s names.
In addition to Michele LeBlanc, the shower was hosted by Donna Bertrand, Holly Cart, Tracy Theriot Cormier, Kristin Doucet, Tiffany Theriot Hebert, Dinah Istre, Sydnie Kidder, Chelsea Lacombe, Katherine Hebert, Myra Mott, Tori Mott, Shelly Roberts, Brenda Thibodeaux, Sandy Thibodeaux, Amanda Trahan, Crystal Trahan and Tamara Theriot Winbush.
