Crowley Garden Club gathers for holiday fellowship

The Crowley Garden Club celebrated this year’s holiday season with a festive luncheon at the Crowley home of Georgie Petitjean.
In addition to Petitjean, hostesses for the Tuesday, Dec. 10, event included Christie Brammer, Marlene Brantley, Nancy Broadhurst, Janis Coignard, Sissy Gall and Patti Lawrence.
Attendees were greeted with warm hugs and refreshments as they arrived at the Petitjean home.
The members of the group enjoyed singing Christmas carols in “name that tune”-style, learning a brief history of each carol before singing it. They also enjoyed playing the gift-swapping game “dirty Santa.”
In addition to celebrating the holidays, the Garden Club took the opportunity to celebrate the 90th birthday of member Imogene LaCour.
A delicious luncheon of chicken tetrazzini, asparagus casserole and a variety of desserts was served and enjoyed by all.
