Home Land Civic and Social celebrates 16 years

On Sunday, Feb. 23, the Home Land Civic and Social Organization celebrated its 16th year Founder’s Day at Israelite Baptist Church. Pastor Ivan J. Lewis and the Israelite Baptist Church family welcomed them with southern hospitality and country cooking, and a luncheon was held at the home of Anthony Bias. Members in attendancer included, from left, Sheral Garrick, secretary/events coordinator; Gloria Wilridge; DeBira Broussard, chaplain; Lou Grant; and Jeanette Shepherd, president. Also present but not pictured are Milton Goodwin, vice president; Howard Guillory, founder; Anthony Bias, treasurer; Vernon Martin; Joyce Harris and Marie Breaux.
