Junior Miss Crowley pageant contestants announced

Miss Crowley Pageant to be held at the Grand Opera House of the South Saturday, July 26

The judges of this year’s Miss Crowley pageant competitions have difficult jobs ahead of them in selecting the new Miss Crowley, Teen Miss Crowley and Junior Miss Crowley. A total of nineteen contestants have entered the pageant, with nine vying for Miss Crowley and five each competing for Teen Miss Crowley and Junior Miss Crowley.

The Miss Crowley Pageant, organized by the Crowley Professional Women’s Club, will be held at the Grand Opera House of the South on Saturday, July 26, at 6 p.m. Doors open at 5:15 p.m. and tickets are general admission, $15.

Zoe Addison Carmichael is the 13-year old daughter of Heidi and Kirt Credeur. She stands 5’5” tall and has brown hair and brown eyes. An eighth grader at Northside Christian School, Zoe is a member of the volleyball team and a cheerleader. She has received Speech Meet awards and participated in the statewide competition. Zoe attends services three times a week at Northside Assembly of God Church and serves in children’s and nursery ministries. In her spare time, Zoe enjoys participating in Crowley Recreation Department softball each season. She nearly always has a smile on her face and finds joy in making people laugh. She also enjoys listening to music, riding four wheelers and horses, swimming, hunting and fishing. Zoe loves to play games, watch movies, make people laugh and spend time with her family. Her sponsor for this evening is Carmichael Rental Properties. 

Jessica Lutisha Clayton is the 13-year-old daughter of Gwen and Joey Foreman and Jody Clayton. Standing 5’2” tall, she has light brown hair and green eyes. Jessica will begin her freshman year this fall at Northside Christian School. Her school activities include participation in the Student Council, varsity cheerleading and being a member of the Praise and Worship Team. Her awards and honors include the junior high basketball “hustle award” and the volley ball “most improved award.” Jessica has also competed at the state level in a fine arts human video drama. She is a member of the Reverb Youth Media Team, VBS student leader, children’s ministries leader, Teen Board member of the Acadia Players, and dancer for eight years. She has also volunteered for city wide clean up day. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys performing in plays with the Acadia Teen Players Theatre Group, gymnastics, playing piano and painting. She also enjoys traveling and hopes to one day be a preschool teacher. Her sponsor this year is Ambassadors for Christ Trucking. 

Mikayla Angelle Tish Clayton is the 13-year-old daughter of Amy Clayton. She stands 5 feet, 2 inches, tall and has brown hair and brown eyes. She will begin the upcoming school year as an eighth-grader at Egan Elementary. Her school involvements include participation in volleyball, basketball and three years of 4-H where she served as the secretary and vice president. Mikayla’s honors and awards include perfect attendance for three consecutive years and server award in volleyball. Mikayla is an active member of the youth group at First Baptist Church where she volunteers for vacation Bible school and Harvest Fest. She also assists with Mega Sports camp. In her spare time, she enjoys playing volleyball, basketball and softball. She also enjoys singing, reading, assisting anyone in need, playing the piano and spending time with family and friends. Her sponsor for this year’s event is Serendipite Home Decor. 

Summar Paige LeLeux is the 12-year-old daughter of Brandon LeLeux and Misty LeLeux. She stands 4’8’ tall and has brown hair and brown eyes. Summar is currently a seventh grade student at Redemptorist Catholic School. Summar has been an active member of Student Council for the last three years, a member of the School Choir for the past year and a member of the Beta Club for the past two years. As a student of Redemptorist Catholic School, she has been awarded the Catholic Award and the fifth grade Student of the Year Award. As a straight A student, she has been on the principal’s list for her entire school career. Summar volunteers for Vacation Bible School along with having been a Pre-K helper at a daycare center. Over the past six years, Summar has held several titles including 2008 Miss Merry Christmas, 2011 and 2013 Little Miss Crowley, 2013 National American Miss Top Model and Most Promising model. In her spare time, Summar enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. She has been a dancer at Core Dance Center for the past six years. She enjoys competing in area pageants where she has formed many friendships. She also likes to play school with her little brother and hopes to one day become a Pre-K teacher. Summar enjoys swimming with her family and friends. Her sponsor for this year is Coastal Floor Covering. 

Alana Claire Vincent is the 14-year-old daughter of Dwayne and Debbie Vincent. She stands 5’0” tall, has strawberry blonde hair with blue eyes. She will be a freshman at Midland High School this fall. Her school activities include 4-H, Junior Leadership, shooting sports and cheerleading.  She has received a certificate of academic achievement for having a 3.75 GPA. In her spare time, she enjoys shopping, swimming, camping, hanging out with friends and doing stunts in cheerleading. She also likes to ice skate and ride her four-wheeler. Alana’s sponsor for this year’s pageant is A-2-Fay, makers of FontKnow’s Secret Products.
