Three-Ten plans ‘Spring Fling’

Members of the Three-Ten Club met on the evening of Tuesday, March 18, at the home of Georgie Petitjean.

Assisting Petitjean with hostess duties were Suzanne Gray and Flo Jones.

The business portion of the meeting was conducted by President Sandy Melancon. During the committee reports, Letza Fogleman outlined plans for the club’s Spring Fling, reporting that the event will be held Tuesday, April 22, at Café Des Amis Restaurant in Breaux Bridge.

An interesting and entertaining PowerPoint program entitled “Computers - The Realm of Steve Jobs and Bill Gates” was presented by Gray. She discussed how computers are used in various aspects of life from business to social media. A multiple choice quiz was given to test the members’ knowledge, bringing out the history of computers and people who played a part in technology development.

Members then enjoyed fellowship and delicious refreshments. In addition to the hostesses, Melancon and Fogleman, members present included Florette Bergeron, Virginia Duson, Betty Faulk, Jackie Fogleman, Kay Frugé, Mary Beth Geesey, Joellen Hindman, Joan Hoffpauer, Imogene Lacour, Brucie Landry, Patti Lawrence, Lisa McNeely, Peggy Sandidge, Valerie Trahan. Associate members on hand included Barbara Geesey, Barbara Scanlan and Elaine Wright.
