American Legion Auxiliary installs new officers

At its last meeting, American Legion Auxiliary Acadia Unit 15 installed as 2014-15 officers, from left, Isabella delaHoussaye, treasurer; Laura Thibodeaux, vice president; and Joanie Schendel, president. Seventh District President Sue Hudson, far right, served as installing officer, while Al Gibson, commander of American Legion Post 15, looked on. The next meeting of the Auxiliary will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. at the VFW Home located on VFW Dr. in Crowley, with Sybil Deshotel, past National American Legion Auxiliary president, as speaker. The Auxiliary is open to any female relative of a veteran or current military service member.

Three-Ten Club hears of Crusades, donates to local tutoring program
