American Legion honors teacher

American Legion Post 15 honored its Educator of the Year, Jessica Robichaux, right, at its Wednesday, Feb. 19, meeting. Robichaux is a first grade teacher at North Crowley Elementary, where she has taught for the past 17 years. She developed a special curriculum for at-risk children that was so successful it was implemented by other parishes and asked for her assistance in training the teachers in those parishes. Post 15 Adjutant A.J. Jones, left, presented her with a plaque in appreciation of her extraordinary service to the children of Acadia Parish.
