IOTA – A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota for Lillie Miller Bearb, 85, who passed away on March 25, 2009 after a long and loving life.
Fr. Mikel Polson will be officiating for the services.
The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Thursday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to the time of service.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Lillie was born in Ritchie-Eunice on August 17, 1923. She was a member of Holy Cross Parish and loving wife, mother, grand mother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.
She was the beloved wife of Joseph Bearb for 50 years; and mother to Roger MJ Crochet of Thibodaux, Norma “Candy” Kidder of Youngsville, and Craig Joseph Bearb of Austin, Texas. Lillie was the grandmother of Ethan T. Bearb of Austin, Texas, Tricia Wise and husband Rick of New Braunfels, Texas, Tracie Ross and husband Don of Cypress, Texas and Stacie Guidry and husband Troy of Cypress, Texas. She was great-grandmother to Madison and Peyton Guidry, Braden Ross and newly arrived triplets Ava, Emma, and Ian Ross, and Alexander, Timothy and Samuel Wise. She was the sister of Geneive Miller, Lula Mae Reed and her husband Jimmy, Martha Kebodeaux and her husband Herman all of Iota, Henry Miller and his wife Beulah of Carlyss, J.C. Miller and his wife Vida of Sulphur, U.L. Miller and his wife Joyce of Iota and Lee Miller and his wife Barbara of Scott. She was the sister-in-law of Ila Miller of Sulphur and Henreitta Miller of Iota, Nap Bearb and Levi Bearb and his wife Rose; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lillie was preceded in death by her parents, Louis E. and Analice Daigle Miller, two grandchildren infants, Tammy Lynn and Ryan Anthony Crochet, her brothers Edward “Red” and William “Ta-tee” Miller, her sister Tiara Jane Miller, sister -in-laws Betty and Eunice Bearb; and brother-in-law, Willard Miller.
She will be greatly missed by all that ever had the special opportunity of getting to have her as part of their lives.
