Lions Club sets hunter safety class

The Rayne Lions Club will be hosting its annual Hunter Education Course beginning on Friday, August 21, from to 9:30 p.m. and on Saturday, August 22, from 8 a.m. .to 3 p.m. at the Green Room

, 318 Gossen Memorial Drive.

Registration will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

If you intend to hunt this fall, this will be the last opportunity to take this required class locally.

To enroll, please contact Judd Gautreaux at 334-2964 or Raymond Thevis at 334-4467. Registrants must be at least 10 years of age and the class size is limited to 70 students.

The course and all materials will be provided at no charge compliments of the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries and the Rayne Lions Club.

Feel free to bring a highlighter or ink pen to take notes.

Parents, please en-sure your children are on time, because the course will begin promptly at 6 p.m.; No exceptions.
