Local couple honored with engagement party
Engaged couple, Lauren Elise Pinac of Crowley and Nicholas John Nero of Rayne were honored with an engagement/cocktail party held September 25 at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Michael Melanson.
Hosting the party were Dr. Michael and Mrs. Mary Melanson, Judge Glen and Mrs. Nella Everett, Shelby and Susan Comeaux, Dr. Don and Barbara Meyer.
For the occasion, the bride-elect chose a brown strapless empire Georgette dress which was knee length.
The mother of the bride-elect wore a black knee length skirt accompanied by a fine-guage eggplant sweater.
The mother of the groom-elect was attired in a white blouse featuring embellished rosettes with a matching sash and an above the knee black skirt.
For the occasion, fresh flowers were placed throughout the home. Guests enjoyed refreshments of gourmet delights.
Thirty guests attended from various cities of Baton Rouge, Lafayette and Rayne.
Lauren is the daughter of Gil Pinac and Phyllis Owens, both of Crowley. She is the granddaughter of Patricia and the late Andre Pinac, Jr., and the late Mr. and Mrs. A.B. Dore, all of Crowley.
Nicholas is the son of Russell and Brenda Nero of Rayne. He is the grandson of Shirley Simon and the late Erphie Simon of Rayne, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Murphy Nero of Rayne.
Fr. James Brady will officiate a nuptial ceremony to be held Friday, December 18.
