Local couple plans May wedding
Amanda Lynn Guidry and Scott Joseph Doga, both of Rayne, will be united as husband and wife on Saturday, May 4, 2013, during a 5 p.m. ceremony at the American Legion Home in Rayne, followed by a reception on site.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Yvonne M. Guidry of Rayne and the late Michael J. Guidry. Her grandparents are Raymond and Henrietta Gossen of Roberts Cove and Wilson and Leita Guidry of Rayne.
She is a 1997 graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish in Crowley, a 2001 graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette majoring in elementary education, and is employed as a teacher by the Acadia Parish School Board.
The prospective groom is the son of Donnie J. Doga of Rayne and Tammye J. Merryman of Crowley. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. L.A. Merryman of New Iberia, the late Norma Merryman, Frances Doga of Rayne and the late Ruby Doga. He is a 2002 graduate of Rayne High School and is self-employed.
Following their wedding, the couple plans to make their home in Rayne.
