Local engagement shower honors Brammer, Cayce
The home of Chris and Patti Brammer served as the setting for a Cajun themed engagement and wedding shower held on April 12 at 4 p.m. honoring Brandi Brammer and Todd Cayce, both of Nashville, Tennessee.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Chris and Patti Brammer of Crowley.
The groom-elect is the son of Cathy and Joe Ralston.
Hostesses for the shower were Belinda Green, Lisa McNeely, Sandy Comeaux, Sue Croughan, Alice Whiting, Christie, Susan, and Nancy Brammer, Cheri Bouillion, and Traci Thomson.
The outdoor Cajun theme party featured a perrow, where the couple’s gifts were placed.
Jambalaya and cracklins were cooked on the premises in black pots by special chefs during the party.
Hors d’ oeuvres of boudin, crawfish dip, shrimp dip, oriental cole slaw, Mexican cornbread, a vegetable tray, and a fruit tray were served.
For dessert, delicious mini pecan pies were offered.
Seventy five guests attended, traveling from Nashville, Tennessee; Houston and Orange, Texas; DeQuincy, Sulfur, and Lake Charles.
Special guest attending was Sally Wynn, godmother of the groom.
The couple plans to have a destination wedding on June 22 at 6:30 p.m. at the Inn at Evins Mill in Smithville, Tennessee.
After the wedding the couple will reside in Nashville, Tennessee.
