A home was destroyed following an overnight fire Wednesday night in Acadia Parish.
Detectives with the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office are investigating a burglary that occurred at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church, located at 9333 Egan Hwy., north of Crowley.

Acadia Parish 4-H’ers and LSU AgCenter staffers were on hand for Tuesday night’s meeting of the Police Jury to update the jurors on their activities and to thank the police jury for its continued support of 4-H projects across the parish. If everything remains on course, the blighted building at 1318 W. Second St. — formerly Ed’s Lounge — should be gone by Thanksgiving.
