A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 25, 2010, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Loyce Lormand, 91, who died June 22, 2010, at American Legion Hospital.
Fr. Matthew Higginbotham will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to the time of service. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m., Thursday. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Eula Mae Lormand of Crowley; two daughters, Marilyn Lormand Brown and her husband James of Kenner, and Vickie Lormand Bordelon and her husband Stanley of Simmesport; one son, Todd James Lormand and his wife Gayle of Crowley; seven grandchildren, Kyle Brown, Tracy Gati, Anita Galland, Kassy Feduccia, Joshua Bordelon, Blaine Lormand, and Carlie Lormand; and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Lormand is preceded in death by his parents, Galbert and Emerite Hebert Lormand; and four sisters, Mable Istre, Kirby Hebert, Verna Gamble, and Eniz Vincent.
