Luther "Hawk" Henry Arceneaux
RAYNE – Funeral services will be held at Gumpoint Pentacostal Church on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at 10 a.m. for Luther “Hawk” Henry Arceneaux, 77, who died Saturday, January 24, 2009 at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home.
Interment will be in the Maxie Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Denise Arceneaux; his five children, Dr. James Arceneaux and wife Sunny of Natchitoches, Myra Arceneaux Pavich husband Dr. Russell Pavich of Eunice, Mona Arceneaux Guidry husband David Glenn Guidry of New Roads, Anthony Arceneaux wife Jennifer of Rayne, and Sheila Arceneaux Ramagos husband Kenneth of New Roads; sister, Velma Doucet of Rayne; sister, Geneva Bellard of Church Point; granddaughter, Kadie Guidry Fabre and husband James of New Roads; granddaughter, Megan Arceneaux of Lafayette; grandson, Kyle Guidry of Baton Rouge; grandson, Lazo Pavich of Baton Rouge; great-granddaughter, Madisen Claire Fabre; and great-granddaughter, Baylie Neal Fabre of New Roads.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Norman Arceneaux.
He was born Friday, September 25, 1931 in Rayne, the son of the late Claude Arceneaux and the late Edna Harmon.
Friends were received from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Monday, January 26. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until time of services at Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne.
The family would like to thank his caregivers, Jennifer Arceneaux, Kadie Fabre, Suzette Rue, Trudy Dietz, Roxanne Gautreaux, Dr. Randy Miller, the staff of Louisiana Hospice and his other health care providers.
Pallbearers will be David Glenn Guidry, Kenneth Ramagos, Kyle Guidry, Lazo Pavich, James Fabre and Byron Beard. Honorary Pallbearer will be Dr. Russell Pavich.
