Man held in Saturday night shooting

Clarence Mitchell, 20, of Eunice will be arraigned in district court Wednesday on a charge of attempted second-degree murder.

Mitchell was arrested Monday in the weekend shooting of Terrill Bradley.

Bradley was found slumped over the seat of his car at Club Diamond shortly after midnight on Saturday night.

Police said he was shot while driving the car.

Reports of gunshots first reached the police about 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

Subsequently there were additional reports of shots fired at two other locations.

Police are investigating circumstances which led to Bradley's shooting, and could not say Tuesday whether the shooting reports were related.

Bradley was taken to Acadian Medical Center.

Initial police reports indicate possible witnesses to the shooting declined to give investigating officers any statements.
