Marci Doucet Receives Degree
RECEIVES DEGREE - While maintaining Dean’s Listing, Marci Doucet, center, joined by her parents, Malcom and Margaret Doucet of Rayne, was honord with the LSUSD Alumni Association’s Leadership Award
at the LSU graduation held this summer at LSU’s Health Science Center in New Orleans. Marci attended LSU in Baton Rouge where she was the Pre-Dental Society’s Dental Hygiene president and also studied abroad in the U.S. Virgin Islands for a semester in addition to serving as a camp counselor in New York for two summers. After attaining her Bachelor’s Degree from LSU, she moved to New Orleans where she attained a second degree, Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Dental Hygiene. There, she was her class’ president, a La. Dental Hygiene Advisory Committee member, and a member of the LSUHSC Integrity Committee. She was also chosen to represent five states as the “2008-09 American Dental Hygienists” Association Student Delegate, allowing her to travel to New Mexico attending the ADHA Annual Session. Her grandparents are Dot Leger and the late William “Fats” Leger, Eby Doucet and the late Lillian Doucet, all of Rayne.
