Marie “ Taunt Dollie” Prejean Alleman
Funeral services will be held Monday July 18, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Marie “ Taunt Dollie” Prejean Alleman 78, who died Friday July 15, 2011 at the Rayne Guest Home.
Father Kendall Faul Associate pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church will officiate.
Survivors include her daughter Patricia and her husband Carroll Comeaux of Mire; her son Don and his wife Freida Alleman of Crowley; two sisters Hilda Cormier of Vidor Texas, and Joyce Wright of Crowley; three brothers Eugene and Edward Prejean both of Rayne, and Ervin Prejean of Duson; her eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Taunt Dollie was preceded in death by her husband J. C Alleman, her parents Ophie and Ezola Dupuis Prejean, her grandson Brandon Alleman, three sisters Leah Cormier, Nola Blanchard, and Gladys Simar; and two brothers Carlton and Fernest Prejean.
Maw Maw Dollie as she was known to her grandchildren and great grandchildren will always be remembered for bribing her nieces and nephews for kisses with chewing gum and grandchildren with pineapple.
Visitation will be held Sunday July 17, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., and Monday from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
Buril will be held in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Duhon Funeral Home of Rayne.
