Marilyn Marie Viator Soileaux
Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monday, September 5, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. for Marilyn Viator Soileaux, 73, who died Friday, September 2, 2011, at her residence in Rayne.
Interment will be in the Arceneaux Cemetery, Rayne.
Surviving are three sons, Kenneth Soileaux and wife, Gloria, of Rayne, Darrell Soileaux and wife, Lisa, of Rayne and Henry Soileaux and wife, Michelle, of Rayne; one daughter, Gwen Monceaux and husband, Mark, of Baton Rouge; seven grandchildren, Nicole Simon and husband, Dayn, of Rayne, Natalie Young of Rayne, Leslee Gagliano and husband, Sam, of Baton Rouge, Aimee Soileaux of Monroe, Lindsey Soileaux of Rayne, Nathan Monceaux of Baton Rouge and Maya Monceaux of Baton Rouge; two great-grandchildren, Hayley Young of Rayne and Robert Simon of Rayne; three sisters, Beulah Melancon of Rayne, Kathy Noel of Grand Coteau and Laura Mae Viator of Grand Coteau; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Elton Soileaux; parents, Eddie and Grace Harrington Viator; and two brothers, Ralph and Larry Viator.
She was born Wednesday, October 13, 1937, in Maurice, daughter of the late Eddie Viator and the late Grace Harrington.
“Mom Mom” will be greatly missed by her loving family and many friends, including many relatives who considered her a mother figure whom she cared and provided for throughout her extraordinary life.
The Soileaux family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Hospice of St. Joseph in Lafayette and Baton Rouge who provided care and support.
Friends will be received 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday, September 4, and 8:00 a.m. until service Monday, September 5, 2011, at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne.
