Marjorie Broussard Joseph
Breaux Bridge – Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2008, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for Marjorie Broussard Joseph, 82, who passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2008, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery.
Fr. Rev. James Fallon, SJ, pastor of St. Francis of Assisi Church, will conduct the services.
Marjorie liked to cook, play bingo, cards and go to the casino. There was nothing greater to her than to prepare a meal for a large family gathering. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her sons, Sonnyboy Joseph, Kenneth James Joseph and his wife Yvette Lewis Joseph, and Archie Paul Joseph Esq. and his wife Melissa Loretta Benoit Joseph, all of Breaux Bridge; her daughters, Savannah Joseph Lawrence and her husband Maxie Joseph Lawrence of Breaux Bridge, Mary J. Joseph Anglin and her husband William Anglin of Breaux Bridge, and Laura Bell J. LeBlanc of Lafayette; her brother, Alton Broussard of Arnaudville; her sister, Agnes B. Amest of Breaux Bridge; her sister-in-law, Hilda Broussard of Arnaudville; 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her spouse, Horace Paul Joseph; her parents, Edgar and Eunice Calais Broussard; her sons, Donald Joseph and Larry J. Joseph; her daughter-in-law, Judy Batiste; her son-in-law, Claston J. LeBlanc; her sister, Ceola Broussard Potier; and her brothers-in-law, Joseph C. Amest and Clarence Potier.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2008, and continue at 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Saturday.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Friday.
The family would like to thank Dr. Johnny Stephens, Dr. James Mawatibo. Dr. Richard Fei and the ICU/4East staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
