CROWLEY – Funeral services for Mary “Odelia” Hanks Schexnayder of Crowley, 74, who died on Monday, February 2, 2009 at American Legion Hospital in Crowley, will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 1 p.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church.
Father Gary Schexnayder will be officiating the services.
A rosary was said on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. at Duhon Funeral Home.
Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Crowley.
The funeral home will reopen at 8 a.m. on Thursday with viewing until time of services.
She is survived by two daughters, Debra and husband Wendell Guidry of Crowley and Ida and husband Glenn Hanagriff of Crowley; one sister, Jane Landry of New Iberia; five grandchildren, Jimmy and wife Dawn Guidry of Crowley, Ryan and wife Mandy Hanagriff of Lyons Point, Neil Guidry of Crowley, Janna and husband Ryan Thompson of Crowley, and Amanda and husband Broc Hollie of Crowley; and 11 great-grandchildren, Hunter Thompson, Taylor Babineaux, Zoie Hanagriff, Zera Hanagriff, Halle Thompson, Meghan Guidry, Hannah Guidry, Drake Guidry, Aleigha Hollie, Caden Guidry and Lillian Guidry.
Serving as pall bearers will be Scott Duhon, Ryan Hanagriff, Hunter Thompson, Ricky and Jimmy Guidry, Dennis Abshire, Paul Landry and Taylor Babineaux.
Honorary ball bearers will be Neal Guidry, Ryan Thompson, Steven Leleux, Broc Hollie and Patrick Landry.
Eucharist bearers will be Albert Leleux, Joanna Thompson and Amanda Hollie.
Ms. Schexnayder is preceded in death by her son, Tommy Schexnayder; her husband, Thompson Schexnayder; her parents, Adonis and Ida Bourque Hanks; and her twin sisters, Durthy Leleux and Dorothy Abshire.
