Medical assistant facing forgery for illegal drugs

On May 17, 2012, the Rayne Police Department arrested Jamie Pitts, 30, of the 400 block of East A School, Rayne, on nine counts of Forgery of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.

Chief Stelly advised Ms. Pitts was working in the medical industry and utilized her access to prescription pads to commit the felony crime.

Jamie Pitts is also facing additional charges in other jurisdictions and the case is still under investigation.

Jamie Pitts was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail and awaiting bond.
