Melancon warns Acadia residents about burglary increase

ACADIA PARISH - Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon stated that in recent months deputies and detectives from his department have been investigating numerous complaints involving residential and commercial burglaries as well as thefts of four wheelers in the Perchville/Eunice area.

As a public service announcement Sheriff Melancon is asking all residents to make sure that you motor vehicle is locked at all times and all valuables are removed. Residents are also asked to secure all four wheelers, mowers, etc. and to contact the Sheriff’s Office if you see something suspicious near your residence.
