Mercedes P. Mire
CROWLEY - Funeral Services will be Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Crowley for, Mercedes P. Mire, 86, who passed away Sunday, August 7, 2011 at 11:45 p.m. at Camelot Nursing Home. Fr. Matthew Higginbotham will be officiating the services.
Survivors include, two daughters, Eula and husband, Darby Garrie of Rayne, and Debbie and husband, Glen Monceaux of Crowley; two sons, Lawrence A. Mire and Calvin J. Mire both of Crowley; three sisters, Orillia Richard of Lyons Point, Oliva Evans of Moss Bluff and Rose Guidry of Jennings; one brother, John Primeaux of Crowley; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great-great grand-daughter.
Ms. Mercedes is preceded in death by her husband, Minus A. Mire; parents, Dulva and Arthemise Primeaux; three sisters, Olivia Bourque, Agnes P. Mire and Ida Primeaux; and four brothers, Aurelien, Valerien, Adam and Dulva Paul Primeaux.
Pallbearers for her services will be her grandsons and great-grandsons, John Garrie, Phillip Garrie, Sr., Jeremy Cradeur, Joey Breaux, Dolan LeJeune and Lynn Mire. Honorary will be James Mire, Phillip Garrie, Jr., Colten Garrie, Tristan Lane Breaux, Cameron, Joshua and Dekota Mire and Hunter D. Lejeune.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. then 8 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home chapel in Crowley.
