Mexican Fiesta celebrates engagement
A tool and pantry party was held on Saturday, July 19, in honor of Malorie Elizabeth Boudreaux of Rayne and Tyler Earl Meche of Crowley in celebration of their engagement. The Mexican Fiesta was held poolside at the home of Jessie and Jennie Baguex of Egan, aunt and uncle of the groom-elect.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Madelene and Ricky Boudreaux of Rayne, and she is the granddaughter of Joyce Faulk of Rayne and the late Stanley R. Faulk and June Boudreaux of Crowley and the late George Boudreaux.
The groom-elect is the son of Mona Kay and Allen Meche of Crowley and he is the grandson of Betty Melancon, Jimmy Melancon, Juanita Meche and the late Earl Meche, all of Crowley.
On her special day, the honoree was lovely in a white linen dress embellished with “Mexican style” embroidery.
Refreshments consisting of a variety of Mexican dishes, desserts and margaritas were served to accommodate approximately 60 guests.
This festive event was hosted by the grooms’s family.
The couple plans to exchange wedding vows at 7 p.m. on August 1, 2008. The ceremony will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne. Father John “Buddy” Breaux and Father William Ruskoski will officiate.
After the wedding the newlyweds will reside in Crowley.
