Michael and Crystal Lee honorees at baby shower
Michael David and Crystal Na’kia Lee, were honored with a baby shower luncheon held on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at C.F. Ladd Masonic Hall in Crowley.
Mrs. Lee is the former Crystal
Carmouche of Crowley. She is the daughter of Myrtle R. Cain of Crowley and the late Joseph Alton Carmouche.
Mr. Lee is the son of Felton and Nancy Lee of Slidell.
Sharing hosting duties for the social were René Richard, Connie Y. Butler, Florena DeJean and Marge Hayes.
On her special day the honoree wore a baby blue blouse paired with black slacks. She was presented with a corsage made of a blue crocheted baby bootie.
The maternal grandmother-to-be was attired in a baby blue three-piece satin suit. Her jacket featured a floral print in similar colors, while her skirt was an A-line garbadine in eggshell.
The hall was beautifully decorated in a blue baby boy theme. The head table was covered in a white linen table cloths adorned by white knitted skirting, while the guest’s tables were topped with navy and baby blue tablecloths. Placed center was a diaper cake by Jennifer Jones. Blue and white balloons, blue buckets, bears, baby designed gift bags and baby bottle accented garland served as the finishing touches of the hall’s decor.
Honored as special guests were Vanessa Winbush Gatlin of Lafayette, godmother of Mrs. Lee; Carolyn Taylor, Robin Conrad, LaConya Taylor, Felicia Guidry and Rasheda Terry, all friends of the honorees.
Approximately 56 guests attended with out-of-towners traveling from Baton Rouge, Leesville, Lafayette and Mermentau.
Mr. and Mrs. Lee are expecting their new little bundle of joy on June 11, 2009. This will be their first child.
