Midland falls short in Class B title game

LAFAYETTE – Midland's hopes of a second state championship in the school's history were dashed Friday evening on the floor of the Cajundome.

The Rebels (34-4) shot a dismal 37 percent from the floor (22-for-59) and 18.8 percent from 3-point range (3-for-16) in an 83-61 loss to Rapides.

Rapides, last year's state runnersup, finished the season at 43-5.
