Mr. Daigle, Miss Soileau joined in holy matrimony

Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte provided the setting for a lovely 2 p.m. ceremony October 18, 2008, uniting Miss Amy Jeanne Soileau and Mr. Anthony Paul Daigle Jr. in holy matrimony with Father McNeil and Father Romero officiating.

The church was beautifully decorated with fresh fall flowers.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was radiant in her ivory-colored, strapless, A-line gown which flowed into a chapel-length train. The bodice of the gown was embellished with lace, Swarovski crystals, beads and sequins. The waistline was encircled with a harvest gold-colored sash accented with a crystal brooch. The bride completed her look with a small, elegant, flowing veil.

The bride carried a bouquet of fresh red roses and calla lilies wrapped with a lace handkerchief and her grandmother’s rosary.

Danielle Savoy of Houma served as maid of honor for the special occasion. She wore a harvest gold-colored, cocktail-length chiffon gown accented with a gold and crystal beaded necklace and earring set, a gift made by the bride. She carried a small bouquet of fresh roses and calla lilies.

Bridesmaids were Amanda Hebert of Galveston, Texas, Jeanne Bructchaus of Ville Platte, Melissa Hooter of Houma and Lucy Craig of Lake Charles. They were attired identically to the maid of honor.

Timothy Daigle of Houma, the groom’s brother, served as best man for the afternoon ceremony.

Groomsmen were Travis Links of Houston, Texas, Greg Soileau of Lake Charles, Johnathan Daigle of Houma and Ross Soileau of Ville Platte. They wore dark chocolate brown tuxedos accented with a gold tie and vest.

Brook Soileau, the bride’s sister, served as flower girl. She wore an ivory-colored gown accented with a harvest-gold-colored sash.

Tanner Colbert, the groom’s cousin, served as ring bearer. He wore a dark chocolate brown tuxedo accented with a gold tie and vest.

For her daughter’s special day, the bride’s mother selected a sienna-colored, tea-length, satin, A-line gown with a vee-neckline accented with a gold crystal necklace and earring set.

The groom’s mother selected a dark brown, chiffon cocktail pantsuit with a short gold jacket set accented with a gold tone pearl necklace and earring set.

A reception followed at Wolff Hall in Washington. The location was decorated with fresh fall flowers on the tables. The entrance table decorated with pictures of the couple, as well as the guest book.

Following a wedding trip to Las Vegas, Nevada, the couple has made their home in Lafayette.
