Mr. Veillon, Miss Nezat set February nuptials
The engagment of Miss Ashley Denée Nezat to Mr. Jake Anthony Veillon, the son of Jerry and Connie Veillon of Ville Platte, has been announced by her parents, Kevin and Billie Nezat of Ville Platte.
The couple will exchange wedding vows Friday, February 13, 2009, during a 7 p.m. ceremony at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte.
Miss Nezat, whose mother is the former Billie Soileau of Ville Platte, is the granddaughter of Betty Soileau, the late Irving Soileau and the late Milburn and Lillie Nezat.
A 2002 graduate of Sacred Heart High School, she is currently attending the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
Mr. Veillon’s mother is the former Connie Tate of Ville Platte. He is the grandson of the late Melvin and Zula Tate and the late J. Alexander and Villa Veillon.
A 1994 graduate of Sacred Heart High School, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice from McNeese State University. He is currently employed with the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Pollock.
