Lafayette – Our Lady of Wisdom Catholic Church was the setting for the marriage of Nikki Lee Hernandez to Kelly James Landry on Friday, June 20, 2008.
The Rev. Donald Pousson officiated the 7 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Rickey and Mary Hernandez of Judice and the groom’s parents are Larry and Yvonne Landry of Cecilia
The bride was escorted by her father and wore a ivory satin gown by Alvina Valenta. The gown featured a strapless neckline with a mermaid style skirt as well as an empire waist embellished with an ivory bow. She carried a bouquet of camel roses accented with misty white and seeded eucalyptus.
Ashlie Almanza served as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Amanda Granger, cousin of the bride and Allison David.
Larry Landry, father of the groom, served as best man.
Groomsmen were Joey Landry and Cody Landry, brothers of the groom; and Jared Hernandez, brother of the bride.
Hailey Lanthier, godchild of the bride; and Jacie Landry, godchild of the groom; served as flower girls, and Reese Higginbotham, godchild of the groom, served as ring bearer.
Ushers were Shawn Higginbotham, Michael Watkins and Butch Boudreaux.
Readers were Cassidy Richard and Randi Hebert.
Gift bearers were Mario Granger, godfather of the bride, and Jeanelle Tullier and Paul Mouton, godparents of the groom.
A reception followed at River Oaks in Lafayette. Following a wedding trip to Antigua, West Indies, the couple will make their home in Judice.
