RHS cheerleaders recognized during ‘14 SCA Camp

The Rayne High School Varsity Cheerleading Squad attended the 2014 Southwestern Cheerleading Association Summer Camp at McNeese early this summer.
During the annual camp, the Rayne High squad enjoyed success once again, returning home with numerous awards and trophies.
On the first night, the squad performed their home cheer routine; afterwhich, they were awarded first runner-up in the home cheer evaluation.
On the second night, the squad preformed a camp-issued routine and was presented the “Award of Excellence” award for their performance, in addition to the Safety Award.
On the last and final night, the Rayne High squad stepped up their camp routine performance and was awarded first place overall in the Advance Squad Competition.
In addition to team awards, a number of individual awards were also collected by Rayne High squad members.
Jump Off participants were Haley Doucet, Emily Dupont, Jasmine Mouton, Morgan Menard, Blair Bergeron, Destiny Alleman, and Briley Leon who qualified for the final round of the competition.
Dance-Off participants were Haley Doucet, Emily Dupont, Briley Leon, Morgan Menard, Blair Bergeron, Victoria Richard and Madison Vidal. Victoria Richard and Madison Vidal were named finalists.
Senior Awards were presented to McKenzie Meche, Caroline Bergeron, Cecily Schexnyder and Madison Vidal.
All American Nominees from Rayne High were Cecily Schexnyder, Morgan Menard, Blair Bergeron, Victoria Richard and Caroline Bergeron.
Morgan Menard, Victoria Richard, and Caroline Bergeron were selected for the All-American Team and given the opportunity to represent Rayne High School at the the 2015 Orange Bowl in Orlando, Florida in January of 2015.
