UPDATE: 1 Arrested, 1 Still Wanted in Rayne

Bellard arrested Tuesday morning

According to the Rayne Police Department, one of the two wanted men for attempted first-degree murder and attempted armed robbery has been arrested.

On July 1, 2014, at approximately 1:15 AM, the Rayne Police Department arrested Bryan Bellard after he surrendered to officers at the Rayne Police Department.

Bellard was wanted for the June 25 attempted robbery and attempted murder of two local men.

Lamor Malbrough, 23, is still at-large and the police department is seeking the public’s assistance in capturing this individual. 

A reward will be paid by the Acadiana Crimestoppers for any information that leads to the arrest and capture of Malbrough. To report information regarding this or other crimes, please call the Acadiana Crime Stoppers at 789-TIPS. Persons with information can also contact Detective Richard Gray at (337) 384-8299. Callers to either number can remain anonymous and still be eligible for the reward.
