Angotti returns to Crowley

John Angotti

Will be on hand for Lenten mission

Fr. Mikel Polson, pastor of St. Michael, is pleased to announce the return of John Angotti, renowned musician, songwriter, vocalist and missionary. Angotti will be present for the 2014 Lenten Mission, scheduled for April 7-9 at 6 p.m. at St. Michael Church in Crowley.

The theme this year is “Stand in the Light...reflect God’s glory!”

For his part, Angotti will lead the faithful in what promises to be a wonderful opportunity for growth and development for the believers of the community. His charisma, sensational voice and his love for God will help those in attendance rekindle and ignite the fire that, for many, may have grown dim.

Through music, and dialogue, Angotti’s focus is to help people understand the depth of their relationship with God and help them to know God is with all each day – living, breathing and walking with all those who believe in him, in good times and bad.

Angotti’s message has always been clear: There is hope, healing and truth with the love of God. This message, however, does not just extend to churchgoers, but also to those in the world who have not been reached by a liturgical worship or Christian music experience.

“My passion these days is to not only provide music for worship, but music that sings of the true witness of my experience of Christ in my life, that leads me to the table in faith,” says Angotti. “I have found that people relate through both music and testimony. All of us have a cross, even though we try to hide it. But there is no hiding place from God who is with us all the time.”

Angotti is a full-time music missionary who travels throughout many parts of the world providing inspirational music and faith witness to all ages through concerts, workshops, retreats, missions, conferences and worship. Angotti’s style is reminiscent of Billy Joel and Elton John and delivers a dynamic blend of contemporary styles and meaningful lyrics. He has won awards including Male Vocalist of the Year, Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year and Praise and Worship Album of the Year, and has been given much critical acclaim. His writing style includes contemporary rock, pop and Latin rhythms, and his compositions give new life to traditional pieces from chant and classical genres.

Angotti has been featured at World Youth Day in Sydney, Australia, (2008) and at Carnegie Hall (2011). His latest project, the full-length musical Job: The Now Testament recently premiered in his home state of Tennessee.
