Acadian Day to be marked August 15

A proclamation recognizing the 250 anniverary of the Acadian’s arrival in Louisiana will be read at The Depot Square on Thursday, Aug.

Mardi Gras parade planned

MARDI GRAS PARADE plans for 2016 were initiated recently. The first initial and planning meeting for a safe and “family friendly” 2016 Rayne Mardi Gras Parade was held on Thursday, July 30, at 5:30 p.m.

Plan board supports 2 proposals

The Rayne Planning Commission approved two recommendations to the Rayne City Council on Monday afternoon.
