Crowley firefighters were called to 1209 Mockingbird Lane early Thursday morning when smoke was seen coming from the attic area of the residence. No one was home when firefighters arrived so a forced entry was made. Here, personnel break through a wall panel to get at the source of the fire. By 7:30 p.m. the fire was contained and the homeowners had been notified.

Council delays vote on budget
CROWLEY – A legal technicality kept the city council from adopting a budget for fiscal 2023 – 2024 Wednesday night.
