Todd Fontenot, the Louisiana State University AgCenter’s new Crawfish Agent, hauls in a crawfish trap at the Crowley Rice Research Station’s South Farm. Fontenot, who holds a degree in agronomy from Louisiana State University and is currently pursing his Ph.D. in Agriculture and Extension Education and Evaluation, began a career in farming in 1991, after he graduated from LSU.

The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office litter abatement crew continues to work and remove litter from parish roadways. The crew recently removed 243 bags of trash, 101 tires and other various types of litter including pallets, mattresses, furniture, vehicle parts and lumber. This program is in partnership with the Acadia Parish Police Jury.
