Albro presents 'Evolution of Physical Therapy'

The Rotary Club of Crowley met Tuesday and learned about physical therapy from Rotarian Daryl Albro and were invited to the Crowley High Dinner Auction by guest and CHS football coach Josh Fontenot. Present were, from left, President-Elect M’Elise Trahan, Fontenot, Albro and Secretary Melinda Malmay.

In 1914, as the U.S. became involved in World War I, women with a base knowledge set were recruited as reconstruction aides to help with injured veterans.

Chamber names new leadership

The Crowley Chamber of Commerce has announced the new leadership of the board of directors.

Elected to serve as officers during the 2014-15 Chamber year are Kerry Gibson, chairman; Jennifer T. Mixon, vice-chairwoman; and Robert Trahan, secretary/treasurer. 

LSP: All interstate lanes re-opened

According to a nixle alert by Louisiana State Police, Troop I, all lanes of Interstate 10 are reopened after a Saturday Haz-Mat incident.

Authorities closed all lanes of the interstate near milepost 78 just after 5 p.m. Saturday.
