Blue Ribbon Award

South Crowley Elementary School Principal Irma Trosclair makes the announcement of the school’s honor to her faculty, staff and students. South Crowley Elementary School and Martin Petitjean Elementary School (Rayne) were each awarded Blue Ribbon recognition from the U.S. Department of Education, officially, Tuesday.

In a process that began last year, two Acadia Parish schools have earned an amazing honor.

The Rayne Civic Center was transformed into a “Safari” setting Saturday evening as the City of Rayne sponsored the 2015-2016 Miss Rayne Pageant.

Law enforcement officials advise business on crimes
