After taking the oath of office for the 2024-2028 term, the primary order of business on the agenda for the Acadia Parish Police Jury Tuesday night was the election of officers. Beau Petitjean, center, of District 5 (Rayne area) was elected president; Paul “Ed” Guidry, left, of District 6 (Church Point area) was elected vice president; and Bryan Borill was appointed to his second four-year term as secretary-treasurer.

Acadia Police Jury sworn in; new slate of officers elected

The swearing in ceremony for the Acadia Parish Police Jury was hosted Tuesday evening with the Honorable Scott Privat, 15th Judicial District Judge, Division A, administering the oath of office.
