Retired Iota Utility Clerk Sandra Ritter, center, was honored at a surprise retirement party on Tuesday, Jan. 2, at the home of Mike and Dolores Pousson. Ritter served as Iota’s utility clerk for 28 years. Crews from Nation Services Company, Inc., of Alexandria, were in Crowley bright and early Sunday morning to stripe the parking spaces along North Parkerson Avenue. Here, in the 300 block of North Parkerson, the individual “stalls” are marked off. The crews started the project between 9 and 10 a.m. Sunday were finished by mid-afternoon. The striping was one of the final steps in the citywide street improvement program.
Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish and detectives with the Crowley Police Department are asking the public’s help in identifying two subjects who broke into a local store.
