Judges for the Louisiana Garden Club Federation’s Cleanest City Contest were in Crowley Tuesday morning. The four judges were hosted at a brief reception in the Mezzanine conference room at city hall before embarking on their tour of the city. On hand for the reception were, from left, Alderman and Crowley Garden Club President-elect Sammy Reggie III, Crowley Community Development / Marketing Manager Valerie Myers, Cleanest City Judges Desiree Casey, Mary Tietje, Nookie Miller (chair) and Mari Cassidy, and Mayor Chad Monceaux, who also served as chauffeur for the judges’ tour. The judges’ decision in the “District” round of judging had not been released by press time but is expected early next week.
