Nickel claims top honors at Bayou Bend Super Dog Fight
CROWLEY – The Bayou Bend Golf and Health Club held it’s Annual Super Dog Fight Sunday, October 25. The dog flight is a competition golf match held three times a week on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Anyone is invited to participate.
Each year the active participants gather to play a yearend Super Dog Flight for cash prizes. This year 55 players qualified to play with the results ending in a tie for first.
Medalist for the event was Randy Nickel with a 68. Nickel was also the handicap medalist with a 65.
The team of Nickel, Stave Hoffpauir, Gino Richardson and Keitha Broussard tied for first with Kevin Cormier, Norris Perry, George Marken and Wes Nelson.
There was also a four-way tie for third and fourth. Those teams were Jeff Nickel, Gene Gilder, Gary Riddle and Wayne Hebert. Joey Oestricher, Brian Boulet, Racheal Ardoin and Cathy Hoyt. Bart Savant, Terry Istre, Bobby Breaux and Alton Hollie along with John D. Nickel, Lawrence David and Emory Doguet.
