Notre Dame game moved to Lafayette
Notre Dame’s scheduled football game Thursday evening against North Vermilion will be played at St. Thomas More in Lafayette. The game was moved to the turf surface at St. Thomas More due to the heavy rains over the past several days and expected rain through the remainder of the week.
“St. Thomas More kindly offered the use of their field for Thursday’s game and we were more than excited to accept the offer,” Notre Dame Coach and AD Louie Cook said.
“We thought it would be in the best interests of Gardiner Memorial field that we move the game to St. Thomas More this week. With us scheduled to play Thursday and then Crowley slated for the same field Friday there were some potential problems with tearing up the natural grass surface,” he said.
As a final note, Cook said Pioneer fans are encouraged to carpool to the game since parking will be limited.
Kickoff for Thursday’s game will remain at 7 p.m.
