Notre Dame High School Homecoming Court

-Notre Dame High School of Crowley will celebrate Homecoming Week beginning today and lasting through Saturday, October 10.

Kicking off events, the school today will Paint the Town Red. Monday, October 5, is themed as College Day Dress, and a Scavenger hunt at lunch. Tuesday, October 6 events will be a Spotlight Day Dress with games to be held during lunch. On Wednesday, October 7, a Living Rosary is to be held at 9 a.m., and an obstacle course at lunch. Evening events begin at 6 p.m. with a “Digging for a Cure” volleyball game against Catholic High School, with proceeds to benefit Miles Perret Cancer Center, those wearing purchased t-shirts will be admitted to game free of charge. On Thursday, October 8, students will participate in a Twin Day Dress, and at 1:30, a girls’ football game will be held on the NDHS practice field. That evening, the Homecoming parade will be held at 5:30, followed by a Chili Cookoff and pep rally at 6 p.m. On Friday, October 9, an alumni reception will be held at Gardiner Memorial Stadium prior to the football game at 7 p.m., during which the Pioneers will take on the Erath Bobcats. On Saturday, October 10, the week’s events will draw to close with a Homecoming Dance.

Members of the homecoming court include Alexandra Elaine Boulet, Celia Annette Charles, Joselyn Ann Cramer, Rachel Lynne Doucet, Margaret Elizabeth Gielen, Elizabeth Jury Guidry, Natalie Solange John, LeaAnne Ashley Mooney, Carlie Rae Thibodeaux, Mary Katherine Jean Voitier, and Stephanie Kate Zaunbrecher.

Alexandra Elaine Boulet is the daughter of Steven and Brenda Boulet of Crowley.  She is a 4 year member of the Volleyball, Softball, Basketball and Track Teams.  She also served as a member of the Pep Squad and the Interact, Yearbook, Library, Frontier and Science Clubs.  During her three year membership of the Speech and Drama club she served as Chaplain and Parliamentarian.  Alexandra also served as Chaplain of Campus Ministry and she is a three year member of Beta.  After attending LSU and majoring in Education, Alexandra wants to become a High School Teacher and Coach.  She enjoys sports, reading, being with friends and family and listening to music. 

Celia Annette Charles is the daughter of Cyril and Laura Charles of Jennings, Celia is a 4 year member of the Notre Dame Girls Basketball Team.  She is also a three year member of the Track Team.  Other club memberships include the Speech and Drama Club, Campus Ministry, Science Club, 4-H club, Library Club and Interact.  Celia plans to attend Louisiana State University and become a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.   Her hobbies include spending time with family and friends, shopping, and talking on the phone.  She also enjoys playing basketball, coloring, reading and listening to music.

Joselyn Ann Cramer is the daughter of Carl Cramer and Barbara Cramer of Crowley.  She is the co-captain of the Football Cheerleaders and is a three year member of the Squad.  She is an All- American Cheerleader Award recipient.  Her memberships include 4-H Club, Future Farmers of America, Campus Ministry and the Volleyball Team.  She is also a member of the Speech and Drama Club and is currently serving as its Stage Manager.  While attending Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, she plans on majoring in Engineering.  Spending time with her family every Sunday is very important to Joselyn.  Her hobbies include Cheerleading and dancing. 

Rachel Lynne Doucet is the daughter of Richard and Suzanne Doucet of Jennings, Rachel is a four year member of Student Council and the Speech and Drama Club - currently serving as Secretary.  She is a three year Athletic Football Trainer and a two year baseball manager.  Other memberships are: a three year member of Beta Club, Pep Squad, FCCLA and a Core Team Leader of Campus Ministry.  She has attended the Steubenville National Youth conference three years.  After graduating from Notre Dame, Rachel plans on attending LSU where she will major in Kinesiology and then attend Physical Therapy School.  Her hobbies include hanging out with friends, listening to music and watching movies.  

Margaret Elizabeth Gielen is the daughter of Bryant and Elizabeth Gielen of Crowley.  She has served three years as Student Council Representative and she has also served as Treasurer and Senior Class Secretary.  Her memberships include 3 years of Beta Club, two years of football cheerleader squad, Speech and Drama club and Campus Ministry where she serves as a Core Team Leader.  Margaret has also been a member of the Tennis and the Volleyball Team and she is listed in Who’s Who Among American High School Students.  Other memberships are one year of Pep Squad and Basketball Cheerleader Squad.    Her hobbies include spending time with family and friends, baking and traveling.  After graduation she plans to attend LSU and major in Business.

Elizabeth Jury Guidry is the Daughter of David and Carole Guidry of Church Point, Elizabeth is a three year member and the captain of the Cheerleaders and an All American Cheerleader Award recipient.  She has served as a Student Council Representative for four years and is currently the Vice President.   As a four year member of the Drama and Speech Club she traveled to Greece and Italy and participated in two of clubs plays.  Other memberships include:  Beta Club, Track Team, Tennis Team - two years; Campus Ministry, FCCLA and 4-H – one year.  Elizabeth plans to attend the Notre Dame Mission Trip this spring.  After graduation she will attend LSU and major in Pre-Med.  Her hobbies include hanging out with friends, reading, listening to music, traveling, cooking, taking pictures and sleeping.

Natalie Solange John is the daughter of Patricia John and William John of Crowley.  She is currently the Secretary of the Student Council and served as a Student Council Representative for three years and a Class Officer for two years.  Additionally, Natalie is a one year member of the Volleyball Team, the Pep Squad, Future Farmers of America and Campus Ministry; a two year member of Beta Club and the Football Cheerleader Squad and a three year member of the Tennis Team.   Natalie participated in the Mexico Mission Trip during her sophomore year.  After graduation she plans on attending Louisiana State University and pursuing a Medical Degree in Psychiatry.  Natalie enjoys spending time with her friends, playing tennis, listening to music and shopping.       

Erin Elizabeth Leonards is the daughter of Todd and Priscilla Leonards of Rayne, Erin is Senior Class President.  She has served as Junior Class Vice President and Sophomore Class Vice President.  Erin’s memberships include:  Speech and Drama Club, Beta Club, Frontier - two years; Campus Ministry, Future Farmers of America, 4-H, Pep Squad, and Yearbook - one year.  Erin attended the Notre Dame Mission trip to Mexico and she has been the Head Soccer Team Trainer for two years.  In her junior year she was named to Who’s Who Among American High School Students.  She is the sponsor for the Redemptorist Catholic Elementary Cheerleaders.  Erin enjoys watching scary movies, reading, camping and yoga.  She plans on attending the University of Louisiana as a Pre-Med Major.

LeaAnne Ashley Mooney is the daughter of Lisa and Daniel Mooney of Rayne.  She is a two year member of the Football Cheerleader Squad and is currently the Captain of the Basketball Cheerleaders.  She is an All American Cheerleader Award recipient and is listed in Who’s Who Among American High School Students.  LeaAnne is a two year member of Campus Ministry, Future Farmers of America and 4-H.  She has also been a member of the Softball Team, the Speech and Drama Club and the Pep Squad.  LeaAnne is an Arkansas Mission Trip participant.  Her future plans are to attend the University of Louisiana and major in Psychology.  LeaAnne’s hobbies are dancing, cheerleading and spending time with family and friends.    

Carlie Rae Thibodeaux is the daughter of Robert and Joni Thibodeaux of Midland, Carli is the Student Council President and a three year member of Student Council.  Carli has served as Sophomore Class Secretary, Junior Class President and Senior Class Vice President.  She is a four year member of Speech and Drama and a three year member of Campus Ministry, Beta Club and the Tennis Team.  Other memberships include Pep Squad, Volley Ball Team, Basketball Team and Basketball Manager, Track Team Manager and Notre Dame Mascot.  Carli’s hobbies are spending time with family and friends, playing tennis, traveling and relaxing.  After graduation she plans to move to Baton Rouge and attend Louisiana State University and major in Biology.

Mary Katherine Jean Voitier is the daughter of Stephen and Jacqueline Voitier of Roberts Cove.  She is a one year member of the Pep Squad and a three year member of the Cheerleading Squad.  She is an All American Cheerleader Award recipient.  Mary has served as Student Council Representative for three years, as a member Campus Ministry for two years and a member of the Future Farmers of America.  She is a four year member of the Track Team and a one year member of the Tennis Team.  After graduation Mary plans to attend Baton Rouge Community College and is interested in pursuing a career in the medical field.  Her hobbies are cheerleading and running.  Mary enjoys spending time with family and friends. 

Stephanie Kate Zaunbrecher is the daughter of Angie and Dennis Zaunbrecher of Rayne, Stephanie is a two year member of the Campus Ministry and serves as a Eucharistic Minister.  She is a three year member of the Volleyball Team, a one year member of Softball Team and a one year member of the Pep Squad.  She has also held memberships and participated in the 4-H Club, Interact, FCCLA, the Speech and Drama Club and the Yearbook Club.   Stephanie loves to spend time with family and friends and attend Friday Night – Notre Dame – Football games.  Shopping is one of her favorite hobbies.  Her plans are to attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, major in education and become a teacher.
