Nuptial mass to unite Miers, Trahan
CROWLEY - Mr. and Mrs. John Miers of Crowley proudly announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Meagan Lucille Miers, to Tradd Michael Trahan of Kaplan.
Meagan is the granddaughter of Lucille “Shocky” Miers and the late Wallace Miers of Crowley and the late Mr. and Mrs. Buford F. Jones of Chalmette.
She is a 2005 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Crowley and a 2009 magna cumme laude graduate of the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. She is currently teaching at South Crowley Elementary.
Tradd is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth “Boo” Trahan of Kaplan. He is the grandson of Norris Istre and the late Nolian Istre of Crowley and Mr. and Mrs. Hilliard Trahan of Kaplan.
He is a 2003 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Crowley and a 2009 graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering. He is currently employed with Lafayette Consolidated Government as a traffic and transportation engineer.
Father Gary Schexnayder will officiate as the couple exchanges vows on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. St. Michael’s Catholic Church will provide the setting for the ceremony and a reception will follow at LeGrand Hall at the Grand Opera House of the South in Crowley.
